Many thanks to Colin Lewis for providing this photo of Richmount School pupils circa 1946-47.

Colin emigrated to Canada in 1967 and lives in White Rock, British Columbia near Vancouver. He last visited N.Ireland in 2010. He remembers a lot of the friends he went to Richmount School with from above photo. He is now 75 years old and just celebrated his 50 wedding anniversary. He has lived in several Canadian provinces due to his line of work as an Aircraft Technician.

He visited his mother's gravesite at Drumcree and relatives in the area, his grandfather was Charles Hillier Galwey. During his time at Richmount in the 1943-48 era, he and his brothers Barry and Brian and sister Stella lived with foster parents Arthur and Eva Annesley at the "Rocks", across from Templeton's quarry, due to the death of their mother while they were billeted at Stewart's Hall evacuee camp, after their home in Belfast was destroyed during the bombing of Belfast.
Barry died of a heart attack at age 54. Stella lived in St. Louis Missouri, she married an American airforce staff sergeant and they had 9 children. She died 5 years ago. His brother Brian lives in England but he is in poor health and lives in a residential home. (28th May 2014)
